Cocoa Press Combines Forces to Fabricate 65,000 Face Shields

Project SHIELDS Outreach

During the last two months, Cocoa Press combined forces with other Philadelphia startups, Instahub and Fulphil, to create Project SHIELDS. Project SHIELDS is an initiative to aid frontline workers during COVID-19 with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields. So far, we have distributed over 65,000 face shields to 30 states and over 400 organizations. The initiative is run out of the University of Pennsylvania’s Pennovation center and will continue as more workers need shields.

The Cocoa Press team has orchestrated the production, operations, and marketing awareness for the SHIELDS project. This includes shipping shields daily from the Pennovation Center as well as using our in house 3D printers to print the headbands. We are so proud to be working with such amazing groups to help the frontline workers fight COVID-19.
